Foolishly dropped my mascara and have 2 black marks on a beige carpet. How can I remove them without damaging the carpet?

How about using waterproof eye make-up remover? A colourless one? I’m not joking, I just think if it can get it off eyes it should be able to come off the carpet.

u gota damp some baby oil or any form of oil on a cloth or a tissue and clean it off… even better, use makeup wipes that remove waterproof mascara.

Use WD-40. Spray it on and rub it off with a dry rag. Then use soap and warm water on the carpet to clean up any residue left behind. Good luck.

Just try and use soap and water or a steam cleaner… Since it’s waterproof obviously water isn’t going to work. Or try eye make up remover…. :)

hmmm…have you tried dabbing it with eye makeup remover? Or there’s this great stuff called White Wizard Spot Remover…it comes in a little white plastic tub and it’s kind of a pastey substance that gets rid of nearly every kind of stain – I’ve used it for LOTS of seemingly hopeless carpet stains!

before you try anything make sure you test it on a piece of the carpet that cant be seen, last thing you want is to make it worse.

try dapping it up with white spirit and cotton wool

A product called spot shot removes anything . You can purchase it at the groc. store in carpet cleaning section.

Use make-up remover just like you would for taking mascara off your lashes. Using a well-saturated cotton ball, dab at the marks and wick up the stain. Do not rub the spot, at this will just serve to work the stain farther into the fibers. Blot until the mascara is completely gone, soaking up the remover with a dry cotton ball as needed.

Hi
This type of stain is one of the hardest to get out the carpet.
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot almost boiling water (from a kettle) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time, (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet).
If the stain is still visible than try putting Dawn dishwashing liquid (4 or 5 drops into one cup of water) or carpet spotter. Dampen the spot letting it soak on the stain for about 5 minutes and repeat step one. After this you should rinse the area again with the wet vac and hot water. If this doesn’t work try using orange glo or even 409. The most important thing to do is rinse the stain with a wet vac and hot water from a kettle to remove all the reside, or the spot may come back.

Only as a last resort if you have fingernail polish try acetate. Blot the chemical onto the spot and then remove with a towel and repeat, keep on doing this until stain is gone or you stop getting colour transfer. Then rinse the stain with a wet vac and hot water to remove all the reside,

Please be careful with what product you uses (neutral PH carpet cleaning solution is best). Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet.

Pond’s cold cream. But then how do you get that out? There is stuff called “Nature’s Miracle” available at pet stores, but works on anything.
