Eye Cosmetics Keep it clean!

by Kim on June 17, 2008

Eye cosmetics are usually safe when you buy them, but misusing them can allow dangerous bacteria or fungi to grow in them. Then, when applied to the eye area, a cosmetic can cause an infection. In rare cases, women have been temporarily or permanently blinded by an infection from an eye cosmetic.

The problem is most women don't take the time or care and attention to clean their eye equipment. By just spending a few extra minutes making sure that every thing is clean can save you from potential pain later.

Mascara - How To Choice The Right Mascara

by Kim on August 8, 2007

To bring out and highlight the beauty of your eyes you need a mascara which suits you the best. Mascara is worn by women for the purpose of drawing attention to their eyes. But, there is a challenge for most women when it comes to getting the right mascara, "how to chose the best one"?

In today's market the choice of mascara is large. You have mascara that increases volume, lengthen eyelashes, water resistant, in color, with various brushes....the list goes on and on.

What is a woman supposed to do? The simple answer is stick to the basics. Of all the colors on offer for most women black and brown will give the best results.

If you have brown or black hair than black mascara is the best option, on the other hand if you are a blonde or redhead than lighter brown variations are more suitable.

Some women just want to highlight their eyes and not have a dramatic striking look should opt for mascara that closely matches the natural color of your eyelashes.

It advisable to use an eyelash curler before applying mascara. This is specially true for women who have straight eyelashes, because this has the affect of narrowing your eyes and making them look smaller. Using an eyelash curler will curl your eyelashes and make them stand out more.

If you are one of these women that apply's your mascara in multiple layers, than it is best to let the first layer dry before applying the second coat, as this will prevent your lashes from sticking together.

Mascara is an essential beauty makeup tool for most women day and night. Choosing the correct mascara for you and with careful application you can give your eyes a magical look.
