The party was given by Adora president and general manager Eman Tantoco Pineda for members of the international press such as Italy's Vogue Italia fashion editor Alessandra Signorelli, Japan's Vogue Nippon fashion features editor Rumijo Hayashi, Financial Times fashion reporter Syl Tang, International Herald Tribune fashion writer Robb Young, and tres charmant photographer Billy Farrell of New York. With such lavish preparations, the evening's program was surprisingly simple, as requested by the hostess, fashion plate Merl Tantoco Pineda, who greeted the guests before dinner and excused herself later, leaving her husband, businessman Ed Pineda, and her children to attend to guests.
